SMEG SA20XMFR OVEN

SMEG THERMOSEAL
Unique to Smeg is the fully sealed, non-venting oven. This sealing ensures full capacity loading, and maintains oven temperature more accurately.

NON VENTING
There is no transference of cooking vapours to the kitchen, resulting in a cooler working environment and cleaner, longer-wearing kitchen cabinet surfaces.

CLEANER COOKING
Since the oven cavity is denied a vented air supply, there is reduced splatter and oxidising (‘burning-on’) of food particles and fluids onto interior surfaces and oven furniture.

SELF SUFFICIENCY
The thermoseal ensure cooking does not require the addition of fluids (fats, oils) to maintain a moist cooking environment; nor does the oven require attention — that is, turning, basting or repositioning while grilling, roasting or baking.

MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY
Sustainable temperatures and higher capacities combine with virtual ‘hands free’ cooking in a non-polluting, non-venting system, delivering both a costing and lifestyle efficiency.

FULLY AUTOMATIC
The SA20XMFR-7 can be preprogrammed to start and finish cooking. It is also semi automatic in that the cooking is started manually and then programmed to finish at a set time. There is also the ‘minute minder’, variable up to 23 hours and 59 minutes. This simply counts down to an audible signal (with volume variability) — a reminder call to return to the oven for, perhaps, a cooking adjustment. These timing applications help ensure perfect cooking results and, importantly, peace of mind.

REMOVABLE ROOF LINER
Also uniquely Smeg is the removable vitreously-enamelled roof liner over the grill elements. Normally this is the most inaccessible and difficult area of an oven to clean. Now, simply slide this liner out for easy wiping over.

LOW MAINTENANCE
The oven cavity is constructed of both continuous enamelled sheeting and full strip-welded panels. This, as well as ensuring the thermoseal is intact, allows for very easy access for cleaning with the absence of hidden crevices and abrupt joins. The enamelling is of low porosity and resilient to acidic foods, thereby reducing the adherence of food residues and eventual pitting and ensuring cleaning is much easier. The bottom element is fully sealed below the oven floor and the rear oven cavity wall is detachable for access and removal of the oven fan. All the removable parts and oven furniture (racks and trays) are washable.

CATALYTIC WALL LINERS
These panels are included accessories as a set of three and are fitted over the side and rear walls. They absorb airborne grease/oil/food particles throughout the cooking process to eventually carbonise this organic waste. Maintenance is then made even easier.

SAFETY COOLING
An independent fan sources air from the kitchen and passes this air through the control panel and then around the carcase of the oven, exiting at the lower front of the oven back into the kitchen. The triple-glazed door, in unison with the cavity cooling system, ensures all external surfaces are safe to touch.

DOUBLE GLAZING
Two layers of thermo-reflective glass ensure the heat generated within the oven cavity is contained and efficiently used. Radiant heat to the outside (ie the kitchen) is kept to a minimum. The double glazing is assisted by forced cool air between the panes, further reducing any possible heat radiance and ensuring safe-to-touch surfaces.

REMOVABLE DOOR
Easily removed, this robust door allows wipe-over maintenance away from the oven. When removed, more ergonomic access to the oven cavity is possible for easy cleaning.

ROTISSERIE
When assembled and installed, the rotisserie, with or without the kebab attachments, works automatically with both static grill selections.
